Events for Christmas City Orphans, starting 2 hours ago

Geistlist

Did you know DFW wrote a Christmas thing? Just found out. Anyway, I’m leading a discussion group of something else February 13. If anyone understands tennis or will by Feb 13, hit me up.

All times Eastern Standard.

¶. Until 5am: the FORT90 Christmas ______

My pal & lost film collector Matt is currently streaming his annual Christmas S___________ at twitch.tv/wondervillenyc. Say hi in the chat. I’m @unitof.

You just missed it, but we just watched 1982 footage of the CNN Christmas party. The Turners were 100% hammered.

¶. Tomorrow 7pm: Dean & Co. Christmas Special 2022

Via Matt (see above), I’ve discovered this family out of Birmingham, AL who every year produces the most possibly syndicated small town Christmas special. See 2021. See 2022, tomorrow evening.

¶. Monday 7-9pm: Open VCR Night

You know by now.

¶. Monday 9-11pm: Wizard People, Dear Reader

Yes, Open VCR Night ends 1 hour early this time, to make way for another tradition, last chance every year.

Bonus: all three Ford sisters & assorted husbands/boyfriends will be in physical attendance.

WP,DR is a cult classic AVI file passed down on flash drives between proclaimed anarchists, Criterion dropouts, and the Venn diagram crotch of Harry Potter & South Park fans. It is an audio dub over the first Harry Potter film with Brad Neely voicing all characters, and an altered plot and set as a book on tape. Warner Brothers has cease and desisted it many times, but we will peace and persist. In person at Wonderville, Brooklyn. Streamed at twitch.tv/wondervillenyc until we get shut down.

Bonus: all three Ford sisters & assorted husbands/boyfriends will be in corporeal attendance.

∞. Merry Christmas

It’s been an odd December and my postal plans are delayed. But I do have them. If I don’t have your mailing address or if I do but it changed since you received a hand-dubbed cassette tape in 2017, tell me.

∞. December 2023

Come to the Gregory Brothers Christmas Special. One of the 3 times per year I shed genuine tears, during their take on Gift of the Magi.
