My friend and former colleague Angela Schöpke has a thing with bananas: specifically mashing them up with as many parts of her body as she can, in a morphsuit choreography about fruit and colonialism.

This is it. David A. Banks used to write for this amazing secret little magazine called Real Life which is now dead. Turns out: his wife was even the narrator of the audio edition, which was really cool!
Next Thursday: I've managed to book him and the host Brace Beldon and Liz Franczak of your favorite podcast TRUE ANON, at the City Reliquary. You know Brace for being the reason everyone was talking about Burning Man last month, and you don't know Liz but she's elusive and writes beautifully about being a veteran of the culture wars and the NBA.
David's new book, The City Authentic proposes what movement of city design comes after City Beautiful and City Efficient, and why we're stuck in it now.

∞. A forthcoming book on the bodies of dead animals
I met Kristin Hugo when my friend Myriam and I discovered and then solved a puzzle she planted in spray paint on the pedestrian walkway of the Williamsburg Bridge, but she's researching now for a book now about dead animals. I mean this very literally: do not click if you are not okay seeing animals die, and what happens after. Kristin in mostly in Wyoming now for that, but hopefully we can have a book launch party on the East Coast. Kristin is hiding in my Bike Kill 2022 footage, I think.
