I am Jacob Ford. We probably met at a party, you maybe asked me for a card, instead I gave you this. This is Geistlist.

On Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 4:30:42pm in Palo Alto, CA, Mark Zuckerberg went live: “Hey everyone. We are live from my backyard, where I am smoking a brisket and some ribs, and getting ready for the presidential debate tonight.”

Four weeks later, his company would be blamed for the results of that election.

Sometime around 2022, the video disappeared from @zuck’s Facebook feed.

Exactly 10 years later, we will watch a newly restored stream capture of Mark Zuckerberg and his Facebook friends, live grilling in Mark’s backyard.

Screening preceded by a brief lecture on the last 10 years of the internet, Meta (née The Facebook), and Mark Zuckerberg.
