¶. April 11: The Power Joker

Caveat, Lower East Side, NYC, $25 standby or $12 livestraem

I’d assumed this was bad but since have been assured it is not. If Robert Moses hosted a standup variety show, and if the person playing Robert Moses actually did their research. Reoccurs every few months, but this will be my first.

¶. April 13: NYNF Gala

Second City, Williamsburg, NYC, $200

It’s a big ask I realize, but if you can justify $200, I can guarantee you $201’s worth of open bar, those passed-around types of hors dourvers, and strange performance art. This is the annual fundraiser gala for the New York Neo-Futurists, a 21-year-old theater company with an equally old self-regenerating show. We inspired a This American Life episode you may have heard once in the car driving to the dentist. I’m on the board, and would be honored if you’d join our party—say hello. My dad will be there.
